한국화를 기반으로 뉴테크놀로지를 탐구한 뒤, 현재 회화와 영상 매체를 통해 창작 활동을 펼치고 있다. 작가는 디지털 화면과 색감에 익숙한 현대인의 시각 경험을 바탕으로 ‘이 시대의 풍경 표현 방법’에 대해 끊임없이 고민한다. 

디지털 세계가 모방한 자연의 색채와 형태를 화면으로 가져와 연출하는 작업에 매료된 작가는, 최근 ‘풍경요소’ 연작을 통해 꽃봉오리, 버드나무, 구름 등 구체적 대상을 단순화된 형태와 다채로운 색감으로 풀어낸다. 작가의 작품 속 풍경은 멀리서 바라본 호수와 산등성이부터 가까이서 느낄 수 있는 빛과 풀꽃의 율동감까지 다양한 관점을 넘나든다. 정진아 작가는 구체적이고 명확한 묘사 대신 대기의 색상, 어둠 속 나무, 구름의 가벼운 물성 등 다채로운 시각적 장치들을 배치한다. 

이를 통해 관객이 화면을 볼 때마다 매번 새로운 해석을 떠올리도록 유도하며 감각적인 회화적 실험을 지속하고 있다.

Based on traditional Korean painting and an exploration of new technology, Jina JUNG currently expands her practice across painting and moving image. Grounded in the visual experiences of contemporary individuals accustomed to digital screens and colors, she continuously contemplates "methods of representing landscapes in this era." 

Fascinated by bringing into the canvas the colors and forms of nature mimicked by the digital realm, JUNG recently unpacks specific subjects—such as flower buds, weeping willows, and clouds—into simplified forms and rich color palettes through her Landscape Elements series. The landscapes in her work seamlessly cross various perspectives, ranging from lakes and mountain ridges viewed from a distance to the rhythmic movement of grass, flowers, and light felt up close. Rather than relying on concrete and explicit depiction, JUNG incorporates diverse visual devices, including atmospheric hues, trees emerging from darkness, and the airy materiality of clouds. 

Through this approach, she invites viewers to evoke new interpretations each time they encounter the canvas, pursuing a continuous, sensory experimentation in painting.
