강민성 작가는 흙, 유리, 금속, 아크릴 등 다양한 재료와 매체를 다루며 달항아리 작업을 하고 있다. 이러한 작업을 하면서 그가 가장 흥미로웠던 것은 두 개의 발 형태를 접합으로 제작되는 달항아리의 제작 방식이었다. 이는 부조형의 조형미를 담고 있기 때문이다. 흙을 베이스로 하여 상반된 재료의 치환을 통해 색다른 미감을 보여준다. 재료에 대한 풍부한 이해를 바탕으로 디테일의 끝까지 파고 들어가는 작가는 항상 깊이 있는 작품을 제작하고 싶다고 전한다. 그래서인지 그의 작업은 가볍지 않고 흔들림 없는 단단한 풍채가 느껴진다.

KANG Min Seong is an artist who works with a variety of materials and media, including clay, glass, metal, and acrylic, focusing on the creation of dalhangari (moon jars). Among his various processes, he finds the method of creating moon jars by joining two separate foot shapes particularly fascinating. This technique embodies the sculptural beauty of relief forms. By using clay as a base and substituting contrasting materials, he presents a unique aesthetic experience. Kang's deep understanding of materials allows him to delve into intricate details, aiming to create profound works. As a result, his pieces exude a sense of weightiness and steadfast presence rather than being light or ephemeral.
