최지원 작가는 드로잉, 회화, 그리고 다원예술을 통해 이야기를 전하는 시각예술가이다. 그의 작품은 '순간의 인상'을 모티브로 하여, 회화를 보다 감각적인 행간으로 탐구한다. 회화를 쉽게 규정하기 어렵고 정의하기 어려운 감각적 경험의 영역을 찾아 나서며, 내면의 중심을 중요시한다. 

 작가는 '회화는 어떤 색을 갖을까?'라는 질문으로 흰 캔버스를 마주하며 시작한다. 궁금증의 씨앗은 기호적 선택된 색채, 형상, 그리고 끊임없는 상상력에 의해 뿌리를 내리게 된다. 작가는 오롯이 자신과의 탐구에만 집중할 수 있는 내적 환경을 구축하는 데 많은 시간을 할애하며, 이 균형 아래에서 상상할 수 있는 자세가 작가만의 즐거움과 본질이 되고 있다.

CHOI Ji Won is a visual artist who conveys stories through drawing, painting, and interdisciplinary art. His work is inspired by the theme of "moments of impression," exploring painting through a sensory lens. Choi delves into the realm of sensory experiences that are difficult to define or categorize, emphasizing the importance of the inner self. 

 She begins his process with the question, "What colors might painting have?" facing a blank canvas. The seed of curiosity grows through the symbolic choice of colors, shapes, and endless imagination. Choi dedicates significant time to creating an inner environment where he can focus solely on his exploration, finding joy and essence in this balance of imagination.
